Discover the Industry
Exploration Place, the Sedgwick County Science and Discovery center located in Wichita, KS, has completely renovated their aviation exhibit, Design Build Fly. The new exhibit launched in the Air Capital of the World on Saturday, December 2nd. The aviation exhibit has been a classic staple as one of their 12 permanent exhibits since opening its doors in April 2000. With the remodel of the exhibit, the CTS team donated toward an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) display to help this exhibit ‘take off.’
The exhibit offers over 5,000 square-feet of interactive aviation experiences, exploring the behind-the-scenes look into the local aircraft industry. From testing landing gear to plotting a flight path to controlling the UAV mentioned earlier, it is family fun for all ages. Along with the many hands-on activities, the exhibit also features a 10-foot long 737 fuselage theater to experience stories from local industry experts.
We are honored and humbled to be part of something beyond just the current aviation industry, but something truly inspirational for future pilots, engineers, and manufacturers alike. Make sure you head to Downtown Wichita to experience these incredible interactive displays first-hand.
