Classes of Fire and Portable Fire Extinguishers Updates
We are pleased to announce an update to our Classes of Fire and Portable Fire Extinguishers basic indoc subject as well as a new Portable Fire Extinguishers for Maintenance Personnel subject.
Both courses satisfy the OSHA Portable Fire Extinguisher Standard and NFPA standards regarding fire extinguisher and firefighting training. In addition, the basic indoc course fulfills the training requirements for fire extinguisher and fire in flight or on the surface procedures required in 14 CFR 135.331, 14 CFR 91.1083, 14 CFR 125.289(e) for pilots and flight attendants, focuses is geared towards pilots and in-flight emergencies. They are each more up to date, and more interactive than their predecessors. Be on the lookout for interactive slides and learning checkpoints.
The new Classes of Fire and Portable Fire Extinguishers indoc course replaces our current Classes of Fire course for both Part 135 and 125 training packages, while the Portable Fire Extinguishers for Maintenance Personnel will replace the current Portable Fire Extinguishers course.
Users already taking Classes of Fire or Portable Fire Extinguishers do not need to do anything to access the new courses – you’ll see them on your “Currently Due” list.
