Description

Our Flammable Liquids course provides vital instruction on the identification, safe handling, and storage of flammable substances such as gasoline, jet fuel, aviation gasoline, antifreeze, hydraulic fluid, and more.

Participants will explore critical topics, including understanding the flash point of flammable liquids and their implications for safe handling. The course covers proper marking and labeling, including Hazmat protocols, Hazard Communications Pictograms, SDS sheets, and the NFPA Diamond system. Storage requirements are thoroughly addressed, with guidance on utilizing appropriate containers and lockers and ensuring safety in both indoor and outdoor storage areas.

Safe handling practices, such as managing static electricity, grounding, and bonding, are emphasized to help prevent accidents, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) tailored to working with flammables is highlighted. Additionally, participants will learn essential emergency response and first aid procedures to effectively manage incidents such as fires or spills.

Our course is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to meet OSHA’s training requirements for handling flammable liquids under 29 CFR Part 1910.106, fostering safety and compliance in professional environments.
