CTS has added a new training program, Performance-based Communication and Surveillance (PBCS). This course is intended to provide students with an overview of the PBCS concept, with emphasis on the use of CPDLC and ADS-B in oceanic, remote, and domestic operations.
Our Performance-based Communication and Surveillance (PBCS) subject includes tutorials with interactive elements, written lessons, and an exam. It covers the Performance-based Communication and Surveillance Concept as it pertains to air traffic management, and the use of CPDLC in domestic, remote, and oceanic airspace, and the use of ADS-C. Upon completion of this course, users will understand the relevant data link communications systems theory, identify the requirements for utilizing CPDLC and ADS-C, and identify and use message elements and conventions.
