HAI HELI-EXPO offer pilot training opportunities
The HAI HELI-EXPO in Dallas is March 7-10, 2022, and it looks like it will be well worth the time and effort for all who attend. I’ve been to countless expos in various industries, and I must say, I’m impressed with the line-up at the HELI-EXPO this year. Among other things, the pilot training and educational sessions look unique.
The expo will have the usual exhibit space with over 1 million square feet of products, new technology, and new aircraft on display. In addition, if you’re looking to network, there will be over 14,000 industry professionals milling around. CTS will also be there – talking rotor wing and demonstrating online training in Booth 9450. And if you’re looking for education courses, seminars, workshops, and forums, then you’ll be in the right place.
HELI-EXPO is not only offering your typical professional education courses, but they also have manufacturer technical briefings available to aircraft owners and maintenance personnel who are looking for product information on their airframe, component, or engine. As a bonus, some of these briefings meet the FAA requirements for renewing an Inspection Authorization (IA) certificate.
There is also something called Rotor Safety Challenge (RSC) that is free to all HELI-EXPO 2022 attendees and exhibitors. The RSC helps participants learn new aviation skills and improve their on-the-job safety practices, including:
- Maintaining insurability (a big one these days)
- Inadvertent Instrument Meteorological Conditions (IIMC – another big one)
- Crew Resource Management
- Risk Management
- Maintenance record keeping
- Wire strike prevention and protection
- Illegal charter operations
Then there are the Professional Education Courses that include another broad range of topics. These courses are not free, but HELI-EXPO attendees are entitled to exclusive discounts. Course content includes aeronautical decision-making, accident investigation, mountain flying, UAS, and aviation safety.
There’s something for everyone at #haiexpo22 this year. So, while you’re there, take your pilot training up a notch and browse through the hundreds of educational events offered throughout the week and choose a few learning opportunities that are relevant to your career or pilot experience level.
